Junior Activity Week 

YEAR 9 MUSIC

Students who study music at this level should be in at least their first year of Music
Studies or doing Grade 1 Rockshool, Trinity or Associated Boards Exams.

Curriculum: Basic Theory, Basic Guitar, Basic Keyboard, Musical Knowledge Topics, Composition, and Aural recognition.

Time allotment: 13 weeks

Assessed units: Guitar, Keyboard, and Music in context, Composition.

Assessment outline: Standards based assessments in Performance, Composition and Musical Knowledge.

YEAR 10 MUSIC

 

Students who study music at this level should be in at least their second year of Music
Studies or doing Grade 2 Rockshool, Trinity or Associated Boards Exams.


Curriculum:
Basic Theory, Guitar , Keyboard , Musical Knowledge,  Composition , Aural recognition.

Time allotment: 6 months

Assessed units: Guitar Keyboard, Musical Knowledge, and Performance

Assessment outline:Standards based assessments in Performance, Composition and Musical Knowledge


SENIOR MUSIC - Level 1       Music 1

Students who study music at this level should be in at least their third year of Music
Studies or doing Grade 3 Rockshool, Trinity or Associated Boards Exams.

Curriculum: Solo and Group Performance, Sound technology, Musical Knowledge, Composition and Music History

Assessed units: All units assessed as Achievement Standards or Unit Standards. 

Assessment outline:  Units assessed against Achievement Standards 91090, 91091 91092 & 91095, Unit Standard 27656


SENIOR MUSIC- Level 2       Music 2

Students who study music at this level should be in at least their forth year of Music
Studies or doing Grade 5 Rockshool, Trinity or Associated Boards Exams.

Curriculum: Solo and Group performance, Research,Arrangement, Instrumentation,Composition, Music History and Musical Knowledge.

Assessed units: All assessed as Achievement Standards. 

Assessment outline:Units assessed against Achievement Standards 91270, 91272, 91274, 91271, 91273, 91278

SENIOR MUSIC- Level 3 Music 3

Students who study music at this level should be in at least their fifth year of Music
Studies or doing Grade 7 Rockshool, Trinity or Associated Boards Exams.
Curriculum: Combinations of Solo and Group performance, Arrangement, Instrumentation,Composition and Musical Knowledge.

Assessed units: All assessed as Achievement Standards 

Assessment outline: Units assessed against Achievement Standards 91416, 91417, 91418, 91419, 91424, 91425.
