Junior Activity Week 

Welcome to Level 1 Science


This courses is designed for those students who are planning on pursuing a career in science or have a passion for the subject. This course is a mix of internal and external assessments and gains 19 credits, including 7 literacy credits and 8 numeracy credits.

This is a broad science course and prepares you for entry into the year 12 courses of Biology, Chemistry and Physics. 

You will learn about how organisms change and adapt to their environment due to their DNA. You will investigate the issue of diabetes and why it is such a concern to specific ethnic groups in particular. You will learn about how forces & motion influence objects and put this into practice. Finally you will learn about acids & bases, their uses in society and how they react with different substances.
