Junior Activity Week 
 
Course description: This course offers a range of both internal and external assessments.  Students work on internal assessments throughout the year and attempt external exams at the end of the year.  Students will develop the skills that they have been taught in their junior English. These skills will include essay writing, the research process, inference skills and literacy skills. 
Here are the minimum expectations for students taking ENGL1:
 
1. Earn at least 14 credits.  This means you have met the requirements to achieve Level 1 English.  
 
 2. To be entered for and achieve at least one of three external exam papers.

Important note: If you achieve Literacy Level 1 overall, it does not mean you have achieved Level 1 English. You MUST achieve 14 English credits to pass Level 1 English

90052 - Produce creative writing (3 credits)
 
90053 Produce formal writing (3 credits)
