Junior Activity Week 

Haere mai, welcome to year 9 Te Reo

In this course we look at basic Reo for about 13 weeks, a few times a week. If you are really keen, we might stay on the kaupapa for a bit longer.

By the end of the first few weeks, you will be really good at pronunciation, you will know lots of basic word and will be able to talk about your family.

Taku Whanau:

  1. Using a persons name using ko wai………? and answer such a question
  2. Using te and nga correctly
  3. Use raua ko to join two peoples names together to mean “and”
  4. Ask questions about family relationships using ko wai……? and answer such questions
  5. Know the family words relative to this level
  6. Use a and o when talking of family relationships
  7. Know and use the special plural forms of tamaiti, matua, tuakana, teina, tuahine and wahine
