Agriculture and Horticulture

These practical courses are best suited to those students who have an interest in extending their science knowledge in agriculture and horticulture.
Students will carry out practical and theory work within the context of plant and livestock production, physical environment and agribusiness
Emphasis will be given to skills involved with raising and caring for plants.  It is important that students become involved in extensive practical work and maintain a garden throughout the year.
The practical skills and knowledge gained in these courses will be able to be applied throughout a person’s lifetime and provide an understanding of the role of Agriculture and Horticulture in New Zealand's economic climate.
