Year 9 Drama
Course Outline

This is taught over a trimester – one third of the year.

The Year 9 course is a beginners' course which will give all students a ‘taste’ of Drama and a chance to find out more about the subject.

The class will be assessed on teamwork skills and group performances.  We put a big emphasis on participation and teamwork in this course.

Introductions:  Tikanga and expectations of using the drama space – getting to know each other and mahi tahi.

After the introduction, students will then move on to completing these 'units of work':

 Unit One: Devising

 Unit Two: Drama Techniques

 Unit Three: Improvisation
