Portraiture revealed

This is a composite assessment worth eight credits, where two achievement standards have been combined into one unit of work. It is possible to get two different grades for this unit. Certain tasks are directed towards one specific achievement standard, other tasks are part of both standards, but will be marked twice through different sets of criteria. All of your workbook is assessed for this standard as well as the final photos.

For achievement standard 3.2, you will be assessed on your ability to use drawing methods to show knowledge of elements and principles relevant to photography. You will need to select and apply appropriate photographic processes, procedures, materials, and techniques, such as lighting, focus, resolution, image composition, production of proofs and work prints, and printing of finals.

For achievement standard 3.3 you will be assessed on the development of your ideas. Your work will need to show pictorial and conceptual linking and refinement through consecutive proofs, work prints, and finals.
