Homestay fees
$NZ200 per week for homestay fees from January 2010. The homestay fee will remain at $NZ200 per week in 2011 unless there is a drastic change in the economy. Come 2012, the homestay fee will increase to $NZ220.
Students are met on arrival at the beginning of their time in New Zealand at Palmerston North or Wellington International Airports – no fee charged.
Tuition Fees above include: administration, homestay placement, ID card, locker, school magazine and uniform if necessary (students need to bring their own black winter shoes).

International students also have the opportunity to go on special trips at different times during the year. The cost of these trips vary depending on the distance travelled and length of time away.
Insurance
May be organized in the home country or by Horowhenua College and varies depending on the length of stay. Currently $NZ490.47 full year, $NZ153.55 (12 weeks) one term.
For your information the following subjects are offered in the classroom:
Language studies to Yr 13: Spanish, Japanese, Maori
Conversational French

Occasionally some senior subjects do not run due to low numbers of students wishing to take them. Such subjects, if required, will be available at an extra cost for distance learning ($NZ 1,900 for one year) through the Correspondence School.
Latin, if required, will be available at extra cost for distance learning and tutoring through Correspondence School ($NZ1,900 for one year) or students may bring their own Latin material to work on with teacher support provided by the College.
Refund of Fees
Refunds of fees will only be made where special circumstances such as significant health problems or extreme family circumstances necessitate the student’s return to his or her own country. All international student fees are protected by being held in a Trust Account in case a refund is required.
The Board of Trustees guarantee that expenditure of course fees remain in proportion to the proportion of the course delivered. The Board guarantees to refund fees in proportion to any part of a course it is unable to continue to deliver.
